The Diakonia Retreat Center is a 210 acre Christian Retreat and Conference Center tucked among the mountains of Salem SC. Just a short drive from Greenville, Asheville, Atlanta, Charlotte and Knoxville, TN.
The Diakonia Retreat Center is owned and operated by the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Atlanta. It was established in 2004 through the leadership of His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios of Atlanta, whose vision it was to create a place where individuals, families, and groups could come to worship, meet and have fellowship with others while growing in and staying connected to their faith.
The Diakonia Retreat Center hosts numerous events throughout the year such as The Metropolis of Atlanta's "St. Stephen's Summer Camp '' and the Metropolis of Atlanta Clergy Retreats, but it is also available for individuals, families, and groups to come and have meetings, gatherings, reunions etc.
